Records from the Department of State in response to American Oversight's request for communications regarding efforts to encourage an investigation of the president’s perceived political opponents. These records include communications concerning Ukraine and span from July to September 2019.

Department of State records in response to American Oversight’s request for calendar entries and specific communications of Ukraine Special Representative Kurt Volker, who had reportedly assisted the president’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani in his efforts to meet Ukrainian officials to encourage an investigation of the president’s perceived political opponents.

The Department of State stated that it had no records responsive to American Oversight's request for records reflecting communications of Ukraine Envoy Kurt Volker with or about the president’s personal lawyers. American Oversight seeks these records to shed light on any potential efforts to influence Ukrainian investigations of President Trump’s potential political opponents.
