The Civil Division of the Department of Justice stated that it had identified 37 pages of records responsive to American Oversight’s FOIA request but that those pages were being withheld in full under FOIA exemptions (B)(5) and (B)(6). This FOIA request sought DOJ communications with White House staff about a 2017 American Oversight lawsuit that triggered a White House review of Ivanka Trump’s private email usage.
