FOIA to the Department of State seeking records reflecting communications of Ukraine Envoy Kurt Volker with or about the president’s personal lawyers. American Oversight seeks these records to shed light on any potential efforts to influence Ukrainian investigations of President Trump’s potential political opponents.

SEPTEMBER 20 EXPEDITION REQUEST

On Sept. 20, 2019, American Oversight asked that this FOIA request be processed on an expedited basis. The request was made in light of news on Sept. 19 that an intelligence community whistleblower complaint relates to President Donald Trump’s communications with the Ukrainian government.
