FOIA to the Department of State seeking email communications of top officials containing key terms related to reported efforts of the president’s personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, to encourage the government of Ukraine to investigate President Trump’s perceived political opponents.

SEPTEMBER 20 EXPEDITION REQUEST

On Sept. 20, 2019, American Oversight asked that this FOIA request be processed on an expedited basis. The request was made in light of news on Sept. 19 that an intelligence community whistleblower complaint relates to President Donald Trump’s communications with the Ukrainian government.
