Opinion and order issued by the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, ruling that the DOJ has conducted inadequate searches for records requested by the NAACP Legal Defense Fund.

The initial complaint was filed by the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund against the Department of Justice, and sought the release of records related to the attempted inclusion of the citizenship question on the 2020 census. American Oversight served as co-counsel in this litigation.
