Texas Attorney General Calendar Records for AG Paxton and Solicitor General Stone

Records from the Office of the Texas Attorney General in response to American Oversight’s request for Attorney General Ken Paxton’s and Solicitor General Judd Stone’s calendars and travel records. These records include calendars for Paxton beginning from Dec. 15, 2020, and calendar entries for Stone beginning from Feb. 1, 2021. Details on the content of these records are below.

Jan. 7, 2021: Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s calendar shows a White House meeting on immigration and “MFAR,” which may refer to Medicaid Fiscal Accountability Regulation.

Feb. 19, 2021: Paxton met with Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes.

Feb. 25, 2021: Paxton had a “Meeting with Former US President,” although the calendar entry does not specify which former president.

March 23, 2021: Paxton participated in a “Prep Session” for an upcoming “Battling the Biden Border Crisis” online event hosted by the Heritage Foundation. Other panelists included former Justice Department official Gene Hamilton, and U.S. Rep. Tom McClintock.

March 25, 2021: Paxton participated in the ”Battling the Biden Border Crisis” virtual event.

Feb. 5, 2021: A calendar entry for Texas Solicitor General Judd Stone referenced a deadline for an amicus memo in NCAA v. Alston, a case before the Supreme Court about compensation rules for student athletes. Stone’s office was asked to provide “state universities’ revenue from sports” and “any data or examples that might show how schools are likely to response to uncapping ‘education-related benefits’ for student athletes.”, among other relevant information.

Feb. 8, 2021: An entry on Stone’s calendar includes a draft of a letter to President Biden regarding the Keystone pipeline, with a Feb. 8 deadline for signing on.
