Complaint: American Oversight v. Treasury — OFAC Communications with McConnell and Braidy Industries

American Oversight’s lawsuit against the Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) for records of senior agency officials’ communications about Braidy Industries' Kentucky aluminum plant, or with specific entities or individuals associated with Braidy Industries or the Russian aluminum company Rusal. This lawsuit also seeks any communications between senior OFAC officials and Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao or her spouse Kentucky Sen. Mitch McConnell.

No Records Response from Treasury Regarding Communications with Individuals with Ties to the Saudi Government

Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) stated that it had no records of communications with individuals and firms linked to the Saudi government. American Oversight asked for these records after Washington Post reporter Jamal Khashoggi was murdered by agents working on behalf of the Saudi government.
