U.S. House Motion to Intervene: American Oversight v. Treasury and OMB – Tax Reform

Motion filed by the U.S. House of Representatives seeking leave to intervene in American Oversight’s ongoing lawsuit against the Treasury Department and the Office of Management and Budget over tax reform communications. American Oversight is attempting to compel the release of tax reform communications sent between Congress and both Treasury and OMB. In this motion, Congress argues that certain emails exchanged with the two agencies should be exempt from release under FOIA and should not be produced.

Complaint: American Oversight v. Multiple Agencies – Appointee Resumes

American Oversight sued 18 agencies in order to force the release of resumes for political appointees across the Trump administration. This is the second lawsuit that American Oversight has filed seeking appointee resumes. FOIA requests included in this complaint cover appointees who joined the administration in the time period follow the first sets of resumes we obtained in 2017.
