The Department of Homeland Security stated that it had no records of communications between Acting Secretary McAleenan and the White House regarding a April 2019 meeting in which President Trump' allegedly offered to pardon Mr. McAleenan is he were prosecuted for illegally closing the U.S.-Mexico border.
