Records from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in response to American Oversight’s request for final reports and other memoranda from DHS’ Office of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties (CRCL) reviewing allegations of civil liberties violations in detention centers. These records include reports and summaries of complaints and allegations against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Border Patrol officers.

Documents obtained by American Oversight provide further evidence of miscommunication and disorganization at the same time officials were issuing misleading public statements.
