U.S. Secret Service of the Department of Homeland Security records concerning the processing and intake of American Oversight's request for information regarding the agency's social media framing of hurricanes Maria and Irma. American Oversight received these documents detailing the request in response to the initial FOIA.

The U.S. Secret Service's Office of the Deputy Director stated that it had no records of communications about the agency's social media response to Hurricanes Maria and Irma. American Oversight sought these records to better understand how the agency was framing response efforts.
