The Defense Department is continuing to insist that it has no records of prepared talking points, despite video of then–deputy secretary nominee Patrick Shanahan consulting notes during his questioning.

No records response from the Defense Department regarding talking points prepared for the confirmation of Deputy Secretary of Defense Patrick Shanahan. American Oversight received a second no records response on March 13, 2019 following an appeal we filed on February 11, 2019.

Acting Secretary Patrick Shanahan spent more than 30 years working for Boeing, and recent news reports raise some questions about his bias.
