American Oversight is investigating the extent to which federal agencies are following the lead of the president in defying legislative branch oversight.

FOIA to the Department of Justice seeking the written legal analysis that Attorney General Barr has relied on in determining that the president did not obstruct justice and that the Special Counsel’s report did not reflect the DOJ’s views or the correct law. Attorney General Barr has repeatedly stated that the Special Counsel’s report applied an incorrect legal analysis, but the Attorney General as not explained the analysis on which he has relied in any detail.
