Records from the State Department in response to American Oversight’s request for communications between White House officials and now-former State Department appointee Mari Stull, who was a lobbyist prior to joining the Trump administration. This request was made following reports that State employees were being investigated by Stull to determine if they were disloyal to the Trump administration. These records span May 2018 to January 2019, when Stull worked as a senior adviser at the Bureau of International Organization Affairs at the Department of State.

The Department of State stated that the agency is withholding five records responsive to American Oversight’s FOIA request for email communications between Mari Stull and the White House.

FOIA to State following reports that State employees were being investigated by former lobbyist Mari Stull to see if they were being disloyal to the Trump administration. This FOIA is seeking communications between Mari Stull and any email address ending in eop.gov from April 1, 2018, through the date of the search.
