Treasury produced one record in response to our request, an invitation to Secretary Steven Mnuchin at the home of Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner in September 2017. The invitation was sent by Trump on a personal email account and copies a personal email account associated with Kushner. The dinner the subsequent evening referred to at the end of the email was, according to calendars provided in response to another FOIA request, at the home of Wendi Murdoch.

Department of Justice stated that it had no additional records where Jared Kushner had used private, non-government email to communicate with DOJ officials.

American Oversight today sued six federal agencies to uncover the extent of Jared Kushner's use of personal email for official governmental business. The suit comes the same week as news broke that his wife, Ivanka Trump, used personal email to conduct White House business on hundreds of occasions in 2017 — which White House officials only discovered when a May 2017 lawsuit filed by American Oversight sparked an internal review.
