No records response from the Department of Justice U.S. Marshals for training and/or guidance provided to U.S. government officials and active military on the use of tear gas for immigration control. Additionally, there were no records responsive to our request for records sufficient to identify all reports of violence by migrants reported by Border Patrol or active military officers on November 25, 2018.

American Oversight is investigating the violence at the U.S.-Mexico border as well as the Trump administration’s politicization of the so-called migrant caravan, which the president termed “an invasion,” in the run-up to the midterm elections.
