In recent weeks, we’ve seen even more clearly how much the focus of the election-overturning efforts was on the Jan. 6 Electoral College certification. Recently unearthed memos support that conclusion.
Records released by the Arizona Attorney General's Office in response to American Oversight’s request for communication records regarding the 2021 redistricting process.
The memos, obtained by American Oversight, suggest that in November 2020, Arizona Senate President Karen Fann and Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Robin Vos sought legal advice about whether legislators had the power to alter the selection or actions of electors after the election had taken place.
During Thursday’s questioning, Logan said he would not be turning over documents anytime soon, despite several court rulings having found them to be public records subject to release.
The fake electoral certificates, copies of which were first uncovered by American Oversight last year, have remained a focus of efforts to unravel the full extent of the plot to subvert the 2020 election.
