Below are document productions released in November 2019 and January 2020 in response to American Oversight Freedom of Information Act requests for Hamilton’s external emails. The second production contains heavy redactions, but includes an email sent by Hamilton just two days after President Donald Trump’s inauguration that says, “Stephen Miller asked me to schedule a time with Steve Bannon this evening to discuss some matters.” A February 2017 email exchange involving Hamilton and then-White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer discusses an Associated Press tweet reporting that Trump was considering mobilizing National Guard troops to round up undocumented immigrants. “‘Very fake news.’ Just not from CNN this time,” wrote Hamilton.
