Records released by Customs and Border Patrol in response to American Oversight’s request for communications related to CNN footage purportedly showing a human trafficker ferrying migrants across the Rio Grande at an area of the river controlled by CBP. A former border patrol agent has since claimed that the event may have been staged for the media.
