Lawsuit filed by American Oversight against the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for communications — including emails, text messages, and phone logs — between New York Field Office FBI officials and Rudy Giuliani, during the 2016 presidential election. In October 2016, then-director of the FBI James Comey reportedly launched an investigation into potential FBI leaks to Giuliani about an investigation into former Secretary of State and then-presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s email use.
