The Department of Labor (DOL) stated that it had no records of communications between DOL officials and anti-LGBTQ groups. American Oversight sought these records to determine whether these groups influenced DOL’s recently-proposed rule allowing federal contractors to cite religious defenses if accused of discriminatory employment practices.
