Pages 48–60: A Census Bureau presentation slide deck dated June 17, 2019. The presentation includes one slide that lists “Citizenship question” as a reason the 2020 census will be conducted “in an environment that is more challenging than ever before.” Other challenges listed are “Polarized society,” “Distrust of government,” Presidential Primaries,” and “Fear of retribution.” On June 27, 2019, the Supreme Court blocked the question’s inclusion on the census.
